Assignment Asia: Lebanon's Lost Coast
12:29

Lebanon has a long Mediterranean coastline that is meant to be public land, according to its constitution. But today, more than 70 percent of its coast belongs to private developers. Much of its natural shore is now occupied by upscale resorts or clubs where entrance fees or family meals can easily exceed $450, Lebanon's minimum monthly wage. Find out how development along Lebanon's coast has affected the people living there, especially fishermen who depend on the sea for a living. Natalie Carney also speaks with Nahnoo, an organization that's fighting to keep Lebanon's coast free.
