This is what we know about the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, which will take place from November 21 to December 18:

A total of 29 teams have qualified for the tournament.

Italy, which won the World Cup in 2006, are not one of them.

The last time Canada attended the World Cup happened in 1986.

The rest of the three teams will come from Wales, Scotland, Ukraine, Australia, United Arabic Emirates, Peru, Costa Rica and New Zealand.

European teams have won the title in all of the past four editions of the World Cup.

All 32 teams will be confirmed in June.
