Talks on a China-U.S.-Russia consultation mechanism on the Afghan issue are being held in Anhui, China. This comes amid a meeting among foreign ministers of countries neighboring Afghanistan. China says it hopes these talks can consolidate the consensus of all parties on the Afghan issue. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is chairing the dialogues. The acting foreign minister of Afghanistan is attending. The top diplomats of Indonesia and Qatar have also been invited.
