The Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium will host basketball competitions of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 in November. One of the basketball courts inside the gym can be transformed into an ice hockey rink within six to eight hours since the venue has a refrigeration system with ethylene glycol as refrigerant. When ice is needed, a perimeter wall will be installed around the field, and the ground inside the wall will also be continuously cooled through ice-making pipes underneath the floor.
