China commissioned its first intelligent deep-sea oil and gas storage center in its southernmost province of Hainan on Wednesday, the China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) said.

The warehouse, covering nearly 7,000 square meters, will support offshore oil and gas exploration and marks the end of infrastructure construction for deep-sea energy exploration and development and a supply chain guarantee system in China.
