The U.S. has conducted the most bio-military activities of any country in the world, yet it is the only country opposing the establishment of a multilateral verification mechanism, said Zhao Lijian, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, at a press conference in Beijing on Friday. 

Zhao also stressed that, "We welcome a fair, objective and professional assessment by the international community on the documents disclosed by the Russian side under the framework of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) of the United Nations."
