- Oil depot attack in Russia's Belgorod: Russia's Defense Ministry on Friday said two Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopters were responsible for an attack on a fuel depot in the Russian city of Belgorod. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry would neither confirm nor deny the claim.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that reports of such attack were not conducive to peace talks.
- Ruble payment system for Russian gas: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said a rupee-ruble payment system for trade with India was put into place earlier and could be strengthened further.
- Military assistance to Ukraine: Over the past few weeks, the U.S. has delivered more than $350 million of security assistance to Ukraine, according to White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki. The U.S. will provide an additional 300 million dollars in security assistance, according to its Department of Defense.
Germany has given the green light for 56 vehicles of the type PbV-501 to be passed on from a Czech company to Kyiv, a spokesman for the defense ministry said on Friday.
- The ICRC attempt to evacuate civilians from the besieged port city of Mariupol by bus was postponed until Saturday at the earliest.
