At least one person was killed after an explosion rocked a nightclub in Azerbaijan's capital Baku on Sunday, the country's Emergency Situations Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry said another 31 people were injured, adding a search and rescue operation has ended.
The blast happened at around 3 a.m. local time on Sunday and caused a fire, which was later put out.
The ministry said relevant agencies were investigating the cause of the incident.
Early media reports suggested a gas leak was behind the explosion.
