Lithuania has ordered the Russian ambassador to leave the country and close the consulate in Klaipeda, according to the country's foreign ministry on Monday.
Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics also said that Riga is lowering the level of diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation.
Moscow's response to the expulsion of the Russian ambassadors will undoubtedly follow, said Leonid Slutsky, head of the International Affairs Committee of the State Duma.
