A grand ceremony paying tribute to Huangdi, or the Yellow Emperor, the ancestor of the Chinese nation, is held at the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor on Qiaoshan Mountain, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, to mark Qingming Festival, or Tomb-Sweeping Day.
The day is an occasion to remember ancestors and family members who have passed away by visiting their graves. Spring outings are also a traditional part of the festival.
