Food and fuel price hikes stemming from the Russia-Ukraine conflict have hit hard countries in Europe and the Middle East. Surging fuel and food prices have sent eurozone inflation to a new high of 7.5 percent. German retailers are to raise food prices by 20 to 50 percent, while Middle Eastern countries, which are reliant on wheat from Russia and Ukraine, are raising prices as well.
