Shanghai has made every effort to ensure that hemodialysis patients receive their regular treatment amid the COVID-19 resurgence. To ensure that the nearly 20,000 such patients get the required treatment under any conditions or emergency in Shanghai, doctors at the Blood Purification Center of Xinhua Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University have made special hemodialysis tags for patients. The tags carry a patient's name, hemodialysis schedule and blood flow during dialysis. With this tag, patients can quickly receive personalized dialysis schedules at any hospital in the region. Xinhua Hospital also opened a special channel and three emergency rooms for hemodialysis patients situated in communities under control.
