The Chinese embassy in Russia on Tuesday dismissed media reports that Russia would ease restrictions on reopening land borders with China from April 9.
In a statement published on its social media platform, the embassy said land border crossings between China and Russia are only open for goods and not people at the moment due to the current COVID-19 situation.
On Monday, some Russia media reported Russia's coronavirus response center decided to lift restrictions for Russians traveling to China over the land border and for foreign citizens' entry to Russia from China.
