In Jinan, Shandong Province, public cemeteries are organizing livestreaming memorial services. People can even ask cemetery staff to sweep tombs and read letters on their behalf. Authorities in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province have set up online virtual memorial parks based on real existing ones. The Ministry of Civil Affairs says there are now more than 2,000 virtual cemeteries in China.
