Spring has fallen on Beijing's Summer Palace, and so too has the mating season for birds. CGTN photographer Qu Bo captured two kingfishers' love story on camera in the imperial garden.

The male kingfisher used a fresh fish to win the female's heart. When his offering was accepted, he was also accepted by his new mate. Most kingfishers are solitary, and they only pair up during breeding season. Let's hope the pair can successfully lay eggs and hatch their offspring.
