Saihanba National Forest Park, the largest park in northern China, is located in Weichang Manchu and Mongolian Autonomous County in Hebei Province. In the past, due to human activity, Saihanba was one of the most severely devastated primeval forests in the country. Through decades of hard work by generations of tree planters, a forest belt of over 50 kilometers long from east to west and 17 kilometers wide from north to south was created on the beautiful highland.
About 'Journeys in Nature': Hebei series
Hebei Province in north China hosts the largest forest park in northern China, Saihanba National Forest Park, and the country's largest expanse of coastal sand dunes, the Golden Coast National Nature Reserve. Here, you will find unique landforms and a rich variety of plants and animals.
