Moscow announces decision to quit UN Human Rights Council

Russia has made the decision to terminate its membership in the UN Human Rights Council, following the UN's vote in favor of its suspension. The Russian foreign ministry said that UN decision is illegally and politically motivated by the U.S. The Russian deputy ambassador to UN added that organization's move would destabilize the system.
