Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer on Saturday met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv shortly after he arrived in the Ukrainian capital, the Office of the President of Ukraine confirmed on social media. A video clip of the meeting was also posted by the latter's office.
At a joint press conference after the meeting, Nehammer said the European Union will tighten sanctions against Russia until it stops its military operation in Ukraine.
Zelenskyy thanked Austria for its supports and told the press conference that Ukraine was "still ready" to continue negotiations with Moscow.
