China has completed an industrial system of its BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, a project that has taken 27 years, the National Development and Reform Commission announced on Thursday. At present, China has 45 BeiDou satellites in orbit. The BeiDou system's industrial scale had reached 400 billion yuan (about $63 billion) by the end of 2020. In product manufacturing for the system, officials cited that breakthroughs have been achieved in key technologies for domestically made BeiDou chips and modules.
