EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell announced that the European Union is resuming its diplomatic presence in Kyiv during his visit to Ukraine on Friday. The Delegation of the European Union was temporarily relocated to the Polish city of Rzeszow after Russia's "special military operation."

"With this visit, the European Union is returning back to Kyiv. I mean this literally: our Head of our Delegation is back here, so that we can work even more directly and more closely with the Ukrainian authorities," Borrell said.

After meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Borrell said in a tweet that EU allocated a further 500 million euros from the European Peace Facility for additional military assistance to Ukraine.
