Shanghai adheres to zero-COVID policy, receives supplies
01:18

Shanghai is sticking to the dynamic zero-COVID policy to strictly implement prevention and control measures to stem the rampant epidemic resurgence in the city. Over 100 temporary COVID-19 hospitals have been put into operation, providing about 160,000 beds. Nearly 100 police officers in Hongkou District were arranged to help pregnant women to see doctors and deliver medicines to the elderly. Shanghai is receiving support from across the country in taming the raging resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ten trucks from Jingzhou City, central China's Hubei Province, carried 260,000 pieces of government-purchased medical protective materials and 22,000 pieces of daily necessities to Shanghai. An enterprise in Jingzhou also collected 30 tonnes of fresh vegetables within three hours and packed them into vegetable bags to donate to Shanghai residents.
