The northeastern region of Kharkiv has reported two casualties and several injuries. The governor said Russian forces have carried out 66 artillery attacks. In the southern city of Odessa, a weekend curfew is holding over concerns of a Russian missile strike. Elsewhere, Ukrainian officials said shelling killed at least five civilians and injured five others in two eastern cities on Saturday. Russian attacks have also been reported in the port city of Mariupol. Witnesses said this has collapsed several agreed-upon humanitarian corridors for civilian evacuations.
The United Nations estimates 4.4 million people have fled Ukraine since the conflict began on February 24, 90 percent of whom are women and children, as most men of military age are asked to stay in Ukraine. Evacuations have resumed from Kramatorsk, where a missile strike killed 52 people at a railway station on Friday. Both Ukraine and Russia have since blamed each other for the attack.
On other fronts, both sides have confirmed their third prisoner of war swap. Among those exchanged are soldiers and some government employees. Meanwhile, Russia said it will hit back at video-streaming platform YouTube for blocking its parliament's channel. The State Duma said this breaches the rights of Russians. The European Union is looking into war crime investigations over the next two days with the International Criminal Court. This comes as British Prime Minister Boris Johnson paid a visit to Kyiv, where he pledged more weapons to Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called it an example for other Western countries to follow suit in providing military aid and toughening sanctions on Russia.
