European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen led a diplomatic delegation to Kyiv on Friday designed to send a "message of support" to Ukraine. The visit came after Brussels signed off on fresh sanctions against Russia as the European Union looks to bolster Ukraine's ability to defend itself.
