Firefighters in Shanghai have been battling the ongoing COVID-19 resurgence since their city went under a two-stage lockdown at the end of March. A total of 28 firefighters from the Putuo Fire Brigade in the western part of Shanghai have been spraying neighborhood streets with disinfectant. They also help distribute and transport daily supplies and antigen test kits to the residents in lockdown. In the southern part of Fengxian District, firefighters even connected their water hoses to the over 60 fishing boats currently trapped in the bay to provide fresh water for the fishermen on boats.
