A rare species of Chinese crested terns were recently spotted for the first time in Jinjiang City in southeast China's Fujian Province. Because they are extremely rare and their traces are mysterious, they are known as the "bird of myth." The Chinese crested tern is listed as a critically endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and there are only about 100 of them globally.
