NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg called on members of the alliance meeting in Brussels on Thursday to provide more than just defensive anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons to Ukraine.
He also reiterated comments about China's unwillingness to condemn Russia's aggression, and suggested that Beijing has joined Moscow in questioning the right of nations to choose their own path.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian has stated that China's position on NATO's eastward expansion is very clear: It believes that NATO was born of the Cold War and should have been dismantled long ago. It advises relevant countries to exercise prudence in developing relations with NATO.
