Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer has arrived in Moscow for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Austrian media reported.
It's the first visit of the head of government of an EU member state to Moscow since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.
A media report said the meeting, scheduled on Monday afternoon at around 3, is closed-door, and there will be no joint press conference afterward.
But a report from Russia's TASS news agency said Nehammer plans to make a video statement for the international press after meeting Putin, citing an unnamed source.
