Rare twin tiger cubs make debut at China zoo
01:04

A pair of baby tigers pranced into their enclosure to celebrate their 100-day birthday and make their debut at a breeding base in Shaoguan City, south China's Guangdong Province. "Lian Hua" and "Fu Rong," names of flowers as well as the local renowned mountains, are also the names of the recently weaned twin tiger sisters.

The cubs are about to receive training in climbing and learn to be predators. The South China tiger, a rare animal under national first-class protection, is a unique sub-species of tiger in China. To protect them, the base adopted artificial breeding measures, and the number of South China tigers has increased from just two to 13 by April this year.
