Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China's Central Committee, inspected the city of Wuzhishan in Hainan Province on Monday. He visited Maona Village to learn about the living conditions and industrial development of local villagers.

The village of Maona relies on tea industry to shake off poverty. The village has also invested over 12 million yuan in improving infrastructure to develop rural tourism.
