NYC sees increase in shootings and transit crimes in 2022

New York City has seen an increase in shootings and transit crimes since the start of this year. Data published by the New York Police Department showed more than 360 people have been shot this year in New York City, in 322 shooting incidents. That's an increase of 8.4 percent compared to last year.
