Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, visited the Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park to learn about efforts to protect the environment and biodiversity in Wuzhishan, south China's Hainan Province, on April 11, 2022.

While visiting the Wuzhishan section of the park, President Xi stressed the importance of boosting national park development in Hainan Province. Staff members at the park said they felt encouraged and would do their best to protect the rainforest and practice ecological conservation in Hainan.
