Ukrainian presidential advisor Oleksiy Arestovych told German public television ARD on Wednesday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was expecting German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's visit and more weapons deliveries.
Arestovych has asked for understanding for his government's rejection of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier who was "not wanted" in Kyiv.
On Tuesday, the Ukrainian side rejected a visit from Steinmeier who wanted to travel to Kyiv together with his counterparts from Poland and the three Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
