Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Thursday called the limits on the posts of the Russian Foreign Ministry on Twitter "unreasonable," TASS News Agency reported.
Twitter announced on April 5 it limited content from more than 300 official Russian government accounts and would not recommend these accounts to users as part of a rule change affecting accounts run by states which limit access to the open internet and are engaged in "armed interstate conflict."
Speaking at the Digital International Relations 2022 conference on Thursday, Lavrov added that Russia stands for the establishment of cooperation in the digital sphere, does not fence itself off from anyone and does not fall into self-isolation. Russia will continue to use Western information platforms, but will rely on domestic ones as well.
