01:00

The Yuanjiang Grand Bridge, a key link of the Changde-Yiyang-Changsha High-Speed Railway in central China's Hunan Province, was successfully connected on April 12, marking the completion of the main parts of this railway construction. With a total length of 156.82 kilometers, the Changde-Yiyang-Changsha High-Speed Railway is the only railway line connecting the three cities in Hunan. The Yuanjiang Grand Bridge is almost 34.87 km long, with a main span of 240 meters.

The travel time between Changde and Changsha will be cut to about one hour once the railway is put into operation. The running of the Changde-Yiyang-Changsha High-Speed Railway will play a pivotal role in promoting the development of the Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone.
