The World Health Organization's director general is calling for equal attention to humanitarian crisis happening elsewhere than Ukraine. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told reporters Wednesday that the world was not treating emergencies affecting black and white lives equally. The WHO chief said the Ukraine situation is important because it impacts the whole world but only even a fraction of attention is given to crises happening elsewhere. This came as the Russia-Ukraine conflict enters its 50th day. Tedros also expressed concerns for the humanitarian efforts in places like Ethiopia, Yemen, Afghanistan, and Syria. He called on the international community to come back to its senses and treat all human life equally.
