Chinese shuttlers enter semifinals at 2022 South Korea Masters

Chinese shuttlers entered the semifinals of the women's singles and all three doubles events at the 2022 South Korea Masters on Friday, led by Olympic gold medalists Chen Yufei, Wang Yilyu and Huang Dongping.

In the women's singles, Chen breezed past Japan's Asuka Takahashi 21-14, 21-10. China's He Bingjiao and Wang Zhiyi defeated South Korea's Lee Se-yeon 21-9, 21-10, and Singapore's Yeo Jia Min 21-13, 21-13, respectively.

Two Chinese pairs advanced into the mixed doubles, including Tokyo Olympic champions Wang and Huang. They swept past Japanese duo Yujiro Nishikawa/Saori Ozaki 21-4, 21-6, while the other pair, Ou Xuanyi/Huang Yaqiong, defeated South Korea's Kang Min-hyuk/Baek Ha-na 21-15, 21-10.

Ou was registered in the men's doubles event as well, teaming up with Tokyo Olympic silver medalist Liu Yuchen. They outclassed South Korea's Ko Sung-hyun/Shin Baek-cheol 21-17, 18-21, 21-13.

In the women's doubles, China's Du Yue/Li Wenmei defeated compatriots Zhang Shuxian/Zheng Yu 21-15, 21-19.
