While most parts of China are embracing spring, snow is falling in Chifeng City in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Early on April 13, the city saw sleet turn to snow. More than 10 centimeters had accumulated in Hexigten Banner and Linxi County of Chifeng City by 2 p.m.

According to Weather China, it is unusual to see such heavy snow in mid-April.
