Afghan death toll from 'Pakistani strikes' rises to at least 47

The death toll from the Pakistani air strikes on Khost and Kunar, two provinces in eastern Afghanistan, rose to at least 47, officials said on Sunday, according to AFP.

Forty-one people were killed and 22 others wounded in air strikes by the Pakistani forces near the Durand line in Khost province, Shabir Ahmad Osmani, director of information and culture in Khost told AFP. Two other officials also confirmed the death toll in Khost.

Meanwhile, another Afghan official said on Saturday six people were killed in Kunar province.
