The incoming rocket sirens that sounded Sunday afternoon in southern Israel were a false alarm, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
Residents of the area said explosions were heard following the sirens, according to local media The Times of Israel.
It was not clear what triggered the alert, according to the report.
