The Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday that Ukraine has attracted 6,824 foreign mercenaries from 63 countries to Ukraine since February 24, according to TASS News Agency.

It added that most of the mercenaries in Ukraine are from Poland - 1,717 people, with about 1,500 from the U.S. respectively.

It further claimed that citizens released in Mariupol were held captive by Ukrainians, and that an ammunition factory near the town of Brovary in central Ukraine was destroyed with high-precision air-launched missiles by Russia.

Ukraine has no response to these claims yet.
