Giannis Antetokounmpo had 27 points and 16 rebounds as the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks beat the Chicago Bulls 93-86, grabbing a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven NBA playoffs on Sunday.

The Bucks blew a 16-point lead as Nikola Vucevic made a hook shot with less than six minutes left to help the Bulls take the lead at 78-77. The Bucks answered with an 8-0 run before the Bulls cut the deficit to one but could never regain the lead.

Brook Lopez scored 18 points for Milwaukee, followed by 15 from Jrue Holiday, and 11 from Khris Middleton. Vucevic had 24 points and 17 rebounds for Chicago. Zach LaVine finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Duncan Robinson scored a career playoff-high 27 points to lead the Miami Heat over the Atlanta Hawks 115-91 in Game 1 of their first-round series.

Jimmy Butler contributed 21 points and P.J. Tucker had 16 for the Heat.

Hawks star guard Trae Young was shut down by Miami's defense, shooting 1-for-12 and had a season-low eight points. Danilo Gallinari led Atlanta with 17 points and De'Andre Hunter added 14.

Also on Sunday, the top-seeded Phoenix Suns beat the New Orleans Pelicans 110-99.

Suns point guard Chris Paul, who shot 12-for-16 from the field, scored 19 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter. Devin Booker added 25 points. CJ McCollum led the Pelicans with 25 points, while Jonas Valanciunas finished with 18 points and 25 rebounds.
