The latest European Union sanctions against Russia will affect its banking sector and oil sector. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen says the sanctions are designed to limit the income of Russian authorities.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin says around 200,000 people will be left jobless as their companies have left Russia temporarily or permanently, and a program has been set up to offer them assistance.
