Afghanistan: Explosions hit western Kabul

Three blasts claimed six lives and injured 11 others in the Dasht-e-Barchi area of Afghanistan's Kabul city on Tuesday, Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran said.

According to local media TOLOnews, the first blast happened near Mumtaz Tuition Center and was followed by two back-to-back explosions close to Abdul Raheem Shaheed High School. 

The Ministry of Interior confirmed a blast took place near Abdul Raheem Shaheed High School, saying an investigation into the incident has started. 

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the blasts.

Earlier in the day, local media outlet Etilaatroz reported that 25 people were killed.
