Passenger ships have resumed services between Morocco and Spain after suspension in 2020. It follows a recent decision to reopen maritime links and land borders between the two countries. Officials say services will gradually pick up between the Moroccan ports of Tangier Med and Tangier Ville and the Spanish ports of Algeciras and Tarifa. Borders reopened last summer, but connections between these ports remained closed due to a dispute on the Western Sahara territory.
