Turkey's annual inflation rate hit a new record high of 61.14 percent in March, mainly due to rising energy and food prices, the Turkish Statistical Institute recently announced. Many Turks now have difficulty affording food, rent and gasoline as a result of the price hikes and the Ukraine crisis. CGTN stringer visited the streets of Istanbul to talk with shop owners and workers, and to record the daily trials and dilemmas of families.
