Shanghai reported 3,084 locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases and 17,332 asymptomatic cases on Monday. Seven deaths were reported, all among the elderly. The oldest was 101 years old. Authorities say the patients had underlying conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes and hypertension. Meanwhile, 1,211 patients have been discharged from hospitals. Officials say over 22,000 asymptomatic cases have been released from quarantine. The government says it will continue testing efforts.
