Shanghai registered 3,084 locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases and 17,332 asymptomatic cases on Monday, local authorities said on Tuesday morning. 

Seven new deaths related to COVID-19 were also recorded on Monday, the authorities said. Underlying health conditions were the direct cause of death of the deceased aged between 60 and 101, they added.
