UN Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths said he has tested positive for COVID-19 and has to cancel his upcoming trips.
He was scheduled to travel to Turkey this week to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other officials and discuss the prospects of hosting humanitarian talks between Ukraine and Russia.
Earlier this month, Griffiths has met senior officials in Moscow and Kyiv to discuss U.N. "aspirations" for humanitarian ceasefires and ways to improve a system to notify the sides of evacuation and humanitarian supply movements.
