The Russian and Ukrainian delegations are continuing negotiations to resolve the situation in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Wednesday, according to TASS news agency.

Zakharova said that Kyiv is trying to "drag out negotiations with Moscow," and it should start looking for "realistic options" for agreements with the Russian side if it is truly committed to the negotiation process.

Since the beginning of the "special military operation," about 7,000 foreign mercenaries from 63 states have come to Ukraine, Zakharova added.
