A total of 363 out of 528 undocumented migrants, who escaped from the temporary immigration depot in Sungai Bakap, Penang, have been rearrested, Malaysian media outlet The Star reported citing local police.

The protest began at around 5 a.m. local time on Wednesday, then quickly turned into a riot.

The Star said at least 10 people have died. It is believed they were killed from being hit by cars while they were trying to cross a road in the chaos.
